Sidney Ponson had one of the worst outtings with gthe Yankees last night he got his ass kicked he went 2+ innings allowing 7 runs. The pen was noy much better as the lone lefty in the pen Bill Traber allowed 4 runs to score in just 2.1 innings pitched in the game. Chris Britton who has been called up and sent down 1000 times gave up 1 run on 3 hits.
Yankees were done when they were down just 1-0 with Roy Halladay on the mound. The only blemish in his 7 great innings of work was a 3 run homer by Hideki Matsui his first since June 12 his birth day grand salami. That was the 3 runs the Yankees got in the game. We now fall another half game out of the wild card and are 6 games out with 36 to go YIKES!
Yankees lost a 14-3 crushing to Halladay and the Jays as they lost the series 2-1 as we start a 3 game series tonight in Baltimore when Mike Mussina will go for his 17th win vs re called Liz who was called up yesterday to take spot of Olsen and sarfate
